Bureau of Prisons (BOP) is seeking information on Perimeter Intrusion
Detection Systems to identify different and emerging technologies for
suitability analysis at BOP facilities and/or institutions. The BOP is
interested in systems which are cost effective, user friendly,
reliable, quickly and easily repairable, easily accessible, low
maintenance, and have a low nuisance alarm rate. The system(s) should
be compatible with a correctional environment and have the capacity to
be installed and functional in all climates and environments. Vendors
are invited to submit (in addition to standard sales brochures and
videos) information containing: 1) operational specifications, 2)
performance specifications, 3) physical specifications, 4) pricing, and
5) a picture of the system(s). The information received may assist the
BOP in determining specific requirements for a standard. No additional
documents referencing Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems are
available from the BOP. Information should be submitted no later than
