It is the intent of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) to purchase a DEC 3000/300X ''Alpha'' computer, manufactured by Digital Equipment Company, combined with an HP (Hewlett-Packard) ''laser 4'' printer, and the Finnigan BioWorks Biochemistry Analysis Software package. The system must include: One (1) 21'' color Monitor, 64MB RAM, two (2) 1.0 GB Drives, DAT Tape, CD Rom, Keyboard and Mouse. This computer system will be used to upgrade a Triple Stage Quadrupole (TSQ) Mass Spectrometer model 700, manufatured by Finnigan Mat Co. Responses to this notice must submit clear and convincing technical documentation, indicating that the items proposed meet the government minimum specifications. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) Number NHLBI-PS-SP-96-201 will be due 15 calendar days after the publication date of this synopsis. The anticipated award date of the purchase order is 4/10/96. All interested sources may submit a quotation which if timely received, shall be considered by the agency.
