Husereau, Contracting Officer, 301/713-0829 The U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Export Administration (BXA) has a need for contractual services to provide support, analysis, and development for their Export Control Automated Support System (ECASS) to support their export control and enforcement processing missions and their imaging system called IMAGEne. The ECASS is comprised of a Model 204 DBM system (ver. 3.1), a MVS Operating System (MVS/SP 1.3.6), a TSO On-Line Communications Package, the ACF2 Security Package (ver.8.X) and resides on a main-frame computer under a time-sharing arrangement. The IMAGEne network currently consists of a Windows NT server and 4 workstations connected for a License Application Scanning System (LASSie); for which expansion requirements include (1) replacement of the current microfiche procedures for export licenses and support documents and (2) image retrieval for licensing officers (a new system called Multipurpose Appplication Records and Retrieval System (MARRs)). Both LASSie and MARRs utilize OCRFF ver. 2.1, WordScan Plus 4.0, and zyIMAGE 4.0 software. It is intended that a firm-fixed price contract for a base year and four (4) option years will be awarded.
