Bechtel Nevada (BN) the Management & Operating Contractor for the Department of Energy at the Nevada Test Site (NTS) is in the process of upgrading the site wide power distribution system at the NTS and installing a SCADA System. A request for proposal (RFP) is planned to be issued for the purpose of subcontracting the work to replace the existing communication system with a combination of microwave and fiber optic links between six NTS substations. BN plans to issue through the referenced RFP a construction subcontract to a company with proven experience in the type of work required to successfully complete the project described herein. (085)
