Realignment/Grand Jury Room at Federal Office Building, 880 Front
Street, San Diego, CA. Cost Range: $1 million - $2.5 million. This is
a 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. SIC CODE 1542. Work includes labor,
materials, equipment and supervision required to complete the
alterations and improvement to the Edward J. Schwartz Federal Office
Building, Sixth Floor United States Attorney's Office. Approximately
35,211 s.f. Includes demolition, woodwork, fireproofing, doors and
frames, metal stud and gypsum board walls, insulation, acoustical
ceilings, carpet/ carpet tiles, resilient flooring, painting,
wallcovering, miscellaneous equipment, plumbing, heating, ventilating,
air conditioning, electrical work, minimal asbestos removal,
modifications to existing fire sprinkler and alarm systems, cutting and
patching. As an additive alternate to the Base Bid, Build out of a
Grand Jury Room approximately 1,500 s.f. located on the Fifth Floor
North to include additional sound insulation, cypher locks, signage
installations, project cabinets, and demolition. This project is
divided into two phases to allow the Government to vacate between
completion date of Phase I into Phase II. The Standard Industrial Code
for this project is 1542, the small business size standard is $17.0
million. Construction performance time is 250 calendar days after the
receipt of the Notice to Proceed. A pre-bid conference and walk-thru
are scheduled for April 25, 1996 @ 10:00AM local time at FOB, 880 Front
St. Room 6266, San Diego, CA. Issue date is on or before April 15,
1996. Bid Opening date is approximately May 15, 1996 @ 2:00PM local
time. 20% Bid Bond is required. Performance and Payment Bonds are
required. A payment for an approximate amount of $200.00 per set is

The non-refundable fee shall not exceed the actual cost of duplication
