Presolicitation Notice. Asbestos Removal, Bldg 380, Eglin AFB FL. Estimated Bid Opening is 30 May 96. In general, work will consist of removing all asbestos-containing materials above the suspended ceiling in certain rooms in Building 380. Contractor shall provide temporary scaffolding in computer room areas, remove suspended ceiling, and remove and re-route ductwork. After removing all asbestos containing materials above the ceiling, re-installation of ductwork and suspended ceiling and removal of scaffolding shall be required. Contractor shall conduct the operation in phases and such that personnel and equipment can continue to function under the scaffolding. Contractor shall possess and furnish to the Contracting Officer State of Florida asbestos abatement license before performance of any asbestos abatement in this project. Performance period is 190 calendar days. Estimated dollar range is between $500,000 and $1M. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. Firms responding should indicate if they are a small business.
