Furnish all labor, material and equipment necessary to widen the entire
length of the existing canal between Unit 5B and 5C by an additional 50
feet. The excavated material shall be placed in a spoil pile west of,
and parallel to the canal. The total in place quantity of material to
be excavated is approximately 87,875 cubic yards. The section of the
existing canal to be widened is 7,372 feet in length. The depth of
excavation (flowline) shall vary. The Government shall locate by
staking, the high point or peak of the new spoil pile and the new west
bank of the section of the canal to be widened (horizontal limit of
excavation). The Government shall specify the required depth of
excavation (vertical limit of excavation) of the section of the canal
to be widened on wood survey lathes spaced at 200 foot intervals. The
Contractor shall be responsible for determining the most accurate
method of keeping track of the cubic yards of material excavated. The
measurement shall be an ''in place'' quantity. The project is located
at the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge, Brigham City, Utah. All
responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered.
Government Estimate is betweeen $25,000 and $100,000. Submit
