Electronic Systems Center (ESC) hereby submits this Market Survey for portable computers to support Milstar Data Flow requirements. Current requirements are for 70 computers (10 of which must meet TEMPEST requirements) and 70 printers (10 of which must meet TEMPEST requirements). Minimum Computer requirements are 80486DXR-75 Processor; 16 MB Internal RAM, Removable 240 MB Hard Drive; 3 1/2 inch floppy drive, Four (4) 9-Pin RS-232 Ports (one port limited to 6 volts and one port limited tp 12 volts); Printer Port (25 Pin), 10'' Dual Scan Color Display, Keyboard, Integral Pointing Device, Power by Battery (internal), and 120/240 Volt 50/60 Hz Computers will be required to be delivered with Microoft DOS 6.2 and Microsoft Windows 3.1 (not Windows 95). Maximum closed size for the TEMPEST Machines is 10 inches by 15 inches by 3.5 inches deept. Minimum Printer requirements are; 80 Column Near Letter Quality, 50 CPS print rate, use both fanfold and single sheet paper, and 120/240 Volt 50/60 Hz external power supply. Equipment must be able to operate from 50 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit and up to 80% relative humidity. Equipment storage environment is from 0 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit and up to 95% relative humidity. Cables for connections as well as additional spare hard drives, batteries, and printer ribbons will also be required. Delivery will be to Hanscom AFB, MA. Deliveries will be required to start no later than 90 days after contract award and be complete within 6 months. Within 30 days of the issuance of this notice, interested parties should submit qualification packages outlining their capabilities to fulfill all technical requirements and meet schedule constraints.
