Item 0002 The Landing Gear Division of the Commodities Directorate at Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill AFB UT, has a state of the art facility for repair/refurbishment of all components of landing gear for Air Force aircraft including fighter aircraft such as the F-16 and F-15; cargo/tanker aircraft such as the C-141, C-5, KC-10, KC-135 and C-130; and bomber aircraft, such as the B-52. The Air Force wishes to know whether any company currently performing repair of aircraft landing gear components including wheels and brakes is interested in performing those repairs in the landing gear repair facility at Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill AFB UT, under an agreement with the Air Force whereby the company would pay the Air Force for partial use of the facility. The details of the aforementioned agreement have not yet been established. Companies are cautioned that there are many unresolved issues surrounding the potential partial use of the government-owned landing gear facility by privately- owned concern. These issues include, but are not limited to, legal, financial, and procedural. There is no assurance that real and potential problems identified above can be resolved in a manner satisfactory to both the government and an interested company.
