TAYLOR (202) 782-1285 Contracting Officer Al Bariatti (202) 782-1280 (Site Code DADA15) Walter Reed Army Medical Center intends to solicit for a contractor to furnish and install one (1) 600 Mhz, 51mm narrow-bore NMR spectrometer equipped for analysis of liquids and solids, including all instrumentation and probes for the analysis of soluble proteins, membrane proteins, and proton and carbon trace chemical analysis at the level of 100ng; and one (1) 500 Mhz, 89mm wide-bore NMR microscope capable of imaging objects, from 2x2mm tissue samples to small laboratory animals, at an ultimate resolution of 10 cubic microns, to include both proton and phosphorous imaging. The acquisition will also include four (4) option years for maintenance of the equipment following expiration of the warranties. Delivery required approximately eight months after award.
