National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS),
National Institutes of Health (NIH), will solicit proposals for the
production of 30 liters (10 liters each year) of high-titer retroviral
supernatant solutions under GMP conditions, biosafety testing, and
delivery for the transduction of stem and progenitor cells for patients
with Fabry disease. Offerors are required to have a facility that has
been inspected by the FDS and is in compliance with established current
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and current Good Laboratory
Practices (GLP). Offerors must have personnel on staff with established
experience in the production of retroviruses under GMP conditions. It
is anticipated that one (1) contract will be awarded for a maximum
period of three (3) years. Payment will be on a cost-reimbursement type
basis. This is not a Request for Proposals. Requests for Proposals
(RFP) No. NIH-NINDS-96-06 will be issued on or about April 15, 1996
with responses due approximately forty-five days thereafter. To receive
