4000 DeKalb Technology Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30340-2799 C -- INDEFINITE QUANTITY CONTRACT FOR ARCHITECT-ENGINEER SERVICES AT
US POSTAL SERVICE OWNED AND LEASED FACILITIES IN THE STATE OF
MISSISSIPPI AND ALABAMA AREA DUE 042496. POC Fred Boyd, Project
Manager, (770) 454-0638. Each contract for general environmental
services, with a guaranteed amount of $5,000.00, will be administered
through individual work orders. The work orders include design and
supervision on projects involving asbestos abatement, lead paint
removal, UST contamination and remediation, site contamination
assessments, environmental impact assessment/statements, etc. The work
will be performed in Mississippi and Alabama predominately, but
occasionally in other Southeastern States. Multiple contracts may be
awarded based on this ad. Each contract may not exceed $150,000 and
will be for 2 years with 3-one year renewal option periods, and
individual work orders may not exceed $200,000. Firms that have
thorough knowledge of all EPA, OSHA, and other Federal and States
regulations governing the work are invited to submit (2) copies of
254's and 255's for consideration. Firms with multiple offices must
show staffing resources of the office available for this work, and
laboratory to be used with certification. Firms must have
registered/certified professionals in the respective states, in the
following classifications: Civil Engineer, Environmental Scientist,
Geologist/Hydrologist, and Industrial Hygienist. Consideration will be
given to firms responding by April 24, 1996 in the following order of
preference: 1) Local - within the respective state, 2) Out of state.
There is no restriction on the geographical location of consultants.
Firms must provide proof of errors and omissions insurance, minimum of
$200,000 per claim (submit 2 copies). It is prohibited to pay any
commission, percentage, or brokerage fee to any person or firm
contingent upon, or resulting from, award of this contract.
Participation of minority business enterprises and woman-owned
businesses is a consideration in Postal selections. No other general
notification for these contracts will be made. Submissions will not be
retained or returned. This is not a request for proposals. Firms are
encouraged to submit required information to the address above, via
UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE first class, priority or express mail.
