Division Newport in Newport, RI has a requirement for the Maintenance,
Operation and Water Transportation Support services for the Naval
Vessels owned and operated by the NUWCDIVNPT. The contract also
provides services, material and logistic support necessary to support
the Center Range Operations and other Navy Research, Development, Test,
and Evaluation efforts in he areas of underwater weapons and machinery
deployment operations, recovery and evaluations, vessel location and
tracking systems, at-sea deployment and recovery of test range sensors,
arrays, instrumentation, and associated moorings and hardware and
delivery of vessels and back-hauling of weapons. The contract will be
a level of effort contract with cost plus fixed fee provisions. The
contract will be issued for a one-year period with four option years;
a total of five years. The level of effort is estimated at
approximately 142,180 full time hours and 12,385 overtime hours for the
life of the contract. Each one year period is estimated at 28,435 full
time and 2,480 overtime hours. The labor categories include an On-Site
Manager, Craftsmaster, Boat Operator/Mate, Ship Engineer and deckhands.
A summary the craft is to be operated and maintained is as follows: (a)
YFRT 287 1941 Steel hulled yard freighter converted to fire torpedoes,
1366 LOA, 304' beam; 86 draft, displacing 582 tons with a twin screw
and single rudder. This requirement is 100% Set Aside for Small
Business. The Sic Code is 4499. All interested, responsible sources may

841 1986 Steel hulled Torpedo Weapons Retriever, 120 LOA, 25 beam,
1210'' draft with 248 tons displacement with Twin Screw and dual

cabin up to 12 passengers and (d) UB 8906 22 Fiberglass Boston Whaler.
