The Government intends to negotiate a sole-source procurement with Ogden Government Services to provide commercial facilities management (CFM) services for NOAA at their 1335 East West Highway, Silver Spring, Maryland site. The period of performance shall be from June 1, 1996 through September 30, 1996. There will also be a one (1) month Option period, October, 1, 1996 through October 31, 1996. This contract shall serve as a bridge contract during the transition of management of the building by NOAA to the General Services Administration. The contractor shall provide facility management services as follows: Operation and Maintenance of Mechanical Equipment; Architectural/Structural and Sustaining Maintenance Repairs; and Janitorial Services. The authority to negotiate with only one source is found at FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five (45) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
