The Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (DOL/ETA) is soliciting proposals for the provision of technical assistance to enhance the capabilities of the O*NET Prototype into existing and developing workforce development programs including State employment and training programs, and human resource development programs. The O*NET Prototype, the automated replacement for the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, provides skills-based occupational information on most occupations in the U.S. economy as classified by the Occuptional Employment Statistics (OES) system, as expanded based on empirical research into the OES structure. The period of performance for the prospective award will be 12 months from the date of contract execution plus three 1-year options at the government's descretion. The contract is a 100% small business set-aside with a SIC code of 7371 and a $18 million size standard. Request for proposals will be available upon written request only, approximately 15 days from the date of publication, on a first come, first-served basis until the supply is exhausted. Telephone requests will not be honored. For requests after the supply is exhausted, the Contracting Officer may determine whether payment of a fee is warranted. The fee will not exceed the actual cost of duplication of the solicitation documents. Closing date for receipt of proposals will be May 17, 1996, at 2:00 p.m. local time. Requests must cite RFP-DAA-96-43 and must include two self addressed labels. Failure to enclose labels may cause delay in receipt of the solicitation. No collect calls will be accepted. (0093)
