Slana (Site Code W31XNJ) This project consists of constructing landscaping buffers along Bougainville Boulevard, along the East Base Boundary and around the Base Supply/Warehouse/Maintenance/POL Areas. Streetscaping will be added along the base primary roadways and selected secondary roads. A pedestrian system to include a central pedestrian spine will be constructed of concrete with associated landscaping. Some landscaping will be added to all major facilities on base and around some existing and new asphalt parking. Some irrigation systems will be constructed at the Wing Headquarters, Main Entrance and the Dormitory Areas. Security Lighting will be constructed along the pedestrian spine and VOQ Area. This Solicitation includes bid options which may not be awarded. Critical Path Method (Network Analysis System) is not required. Bid documents are available on or about 15 April 1996. Costs are as follows: Plans half size $10.00 Specifications $42.00. Estimated cost of work is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. THIS IS A COMPETITIVE 8(A) SET-ASIDE. This procurement is a Competitive 8(a) Set-Aside as established by Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 637(a)). Only those firms meeting the Small Business Administration's (SBA) criterion, and have previously been certified by the SBA as an ''8(a) Contractor,'' are eligible to compete for this procurement and ultimately be awarded a subcontract from the SBA.
