Pre-Solicitation Notice: Contractor will provide automatic sprinklers and pre-action systems in various occupied buildings including the connection of the water flow, valve supervision, low air into the existing fire alarm system. In addition, provide an AFFF system for the underwing protection of aircraft in two hangars to include heat detectors at the ceiling. Also, provide a 75,000 gallon ground-level tank complete with all accessories, foundations, heating unit and cathodic protection system. Provide a foam retention system for the collection of the foam discharge solution. Provide an underground pipe to connect the fire pump to two hangars. The location of the proposed project is Francis S. Gabreski Airport, New York Air National Guard Base, Westhampton Beach, New York. The estimated construction magnitude is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) is 1542. The Anticipated performance time for this project is 365 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. IFB DAHA30-96-B-0005 will be issued on or about 15 April 1996, with a bid opening date on or about 20 May 1996.
