This acquisition is to support possible construction projects at Moffett Federal Airfield, California. A minimum of $5,000.00 in work will be guaranteed, with a maximum of $5,000,000.00. Award will be for a one year base period with four year options. Bid Issue date will be o/a 24 April 1996. A pre-bid conference explaining Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity will be held at the Base Civil Engineer's Office, Moffett Federal Airfield, California (Santa Clara County), California. Bid Opening Date is scheduled for on or about 25 June 1996. The contract will be a firm fixed price award based on the lowest Co-efficient bid. A co-efficient is a numerical factor representing the contractor's indirect costs and profit; it does not include unit prices in the unit price books. Co-efficient proposed by offerors are multiplied by the established unit prices in the unit price books. The unit price books used will be the 1996 Means Facilities Cost Data; the 1996 Means Building Cost Data; the 1996 Means Concrete Cost Data; the 1996 Means Mechanical Cost Data; the 1996 Means Electrical Cost Data; the 1996 Means Repair and Remodeling Cost Data; and the 1996 Means Site Work Cost Data. The editions will be updated annually and used for the duration of the proposed acquisition. Copies of these unit price books will not be provided by the Government. It is the responsibility of each bidder to obtain their own copies of these books. Copies of these unit price books may be purchased from R.S. Possible projects under this JOC acquisition may include but not be limited to painting (exterior and interior) (Facilities and street surfaces); wall repairs; asphalt repairs/ reconditioning/over-lay; ceiling system maintenance/repairs/replacements; sidewalks and curbing repairs; roof repairs; fencing; framing; drywall installation finish; door and frame installation/removal; lighting systems, miscellaneous plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning equipment, installation of duct-works/pipes; and structural work, miscellaneous masonry work and general interior/exterior remodeling and renovation.
