Z -- SITE REMEDIATION, USCG AIR STATION BROOKLYN, BROOKLYN, NY SOL DTCGG1-96-B-3RX043 DUE 052396 POC Susan Hetrick, Contracting Officer (401)736-1763; Fax (401) 736-1704 PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, transportation, and supervision necessary to provide and install 43 2-inch diameter vapor extraction wells, and 39 1-inch sparge wells, piping the vapor and sparge wells through valve vaults to the equipment building, provide and install 12 valve vaults, six vapor monitoring wells, a 20ft X 36ft pre-engineered metal building to house equipment, 8ft X 14ft pre-engineered metal bldg. to house electrical equipment, equipment, piping, electrical components instrumentation and other necessary components to operate the remedial systems, site work including paving roads, erosion control and seeding, operating the remedial systems, and providing and installing performance monitoring equipment to evaluate and regulate treatment system performance during the 14-day start up period and incidental related work. The work shall be completed in four phases. A pre-bid conference will be held for all potential bidders at a time and place to be determined. Work is located at USCG Air Station Brooklyn, Floyd Bennet Field, Brooklyn, NY. The estimated cost of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. SIC code is 1711. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The max. line of credit is $500,000.
