The work includes the removal and disposal of existing EPDM membrane and flashings, gravel surfaced asphalt built-up membranes, bituminous and sheet metal flashings, insulation, bituminous base sheets, wood blocking, gutter/downspout assemblies, roof drain accessory components, coring and removal of concrete and concrete masonry for installation of overflow scuppers and leader piping, and removal of building wall sealants. Bituminous membrane, base flashings, base sheets and bituminous repair materials contain asbestos. Removal and replacement of lightweight concrete and steel decking/steel form is required where found to be unsuitable to remain after removal of existing roof systems. The work also includes the provision and installation of steel deck/steel form, lightweight concrete, bituminous base sheets, roof insulation including tapered, wood blocking, gravel surfaced asphalt built-up roof membranes, modified bituminous and sheet metal flashings, roof area dividers, expansion joints, sheet metal flashings, gutter/downspout assemblies, roof drain accessory components, leader piping, emergency overflow scuppers, rooftop equipment curbs and flashings, mechanical/electrical disconnections and reconnections, installation of building sealants, and incidental related work at MCAS, Yuma AZ. This solicitation is not 100% set aside for small business. Standard Industrial Code is 1761. Small business size standard is $7 million. A limited number of bid packages, one set of specifications and half size plans, will be available and issued on a first come first serve basis. Plans and specifications will be available approximately 29 April 1996 until supply is exhausted. No deposit required. Magnitude of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
