The proposed procurement is required to remove/install new government supplied carpet and painting. The carpet work for Bldg. 429 consists of: remove/install new government supplied carpet (approximately 1350 sq. yd.) in offices and install new rubber flooring, stair treads/risers. Carpet shall be installed by direct glue down and shall be smooth, uniform, and secure, with a minimum of seams. The painting work for Bldg. 429 consists of: painting work in existing offices (28 offices - approx. 16' long x 12' wide) gypsumboard walls, wood baseboard trim, wood/metal doors, metal heating/cooling units, and hallways of an existing two story concrete block building. The painting work for Bldg. 411 consists of: painting existing gypsumboard walls (10 offices), wood baseboard trim, wood/metal doors, metal heating/cooling units, hallways and conference room (approx. 5500 sq. ft. total) in an existing one story office building. All surfaces to be painted shall be clean and free of foreign matter before application of paint or surface treatments. The Government's estimated price range for the work to be done is $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Prospective Contractors are required to possess a Virginia Contractor's license to submit a bid in response to this solicitation. Construction will take place at the FEMA Mt. Weather Emergency Assistance Center, 19844 Blue Ridge Mountain Rd. (State Rt. 601), Bluemont, Loudoun County, Virginia. A firm-fixed-price construction contract is anticipated to be awarded. A Prebid Conference and Site Visit will be scheduled, the exact date and time will be identified in the solicitation, Section L. The period of performance will be 120 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed.
