The work consists of providing all labor, material, equipment and services to provide Design/Build services to accomplish the Rehabilitation/Upgrade of seven (7) freight elevators at the Morgan P&DC, 341 Ninth Avenue, a ten story historically significant operational postal facility in Midtown Manhattan, NY. Only two (2) elevators will be permitted to be taken out of service at a time. A single elevator must be complete, with a Certificate of Occupancy from USPS Boiler/Elevator Inspector, prior to beneficial occupancy. Only after receipt of certificate will the next elevator be permitted to be taken out of service. OFFEROR MUST BE AN ELEVATOR CONTRACTOR PRIMARILY ENGAGED IN THE CONSTRUCTION/REHABILITATION AND UPGRADE OF ELEVATORS FOR A MINIMUM OF FIVE (5) YEARS WITH SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THREE (3) PHASED ELEVATOR REHABILITATION/UPGRADE PROJECTS OF SIMILAR SIZE AND SCOPE IN OCCUPIED FACILITIES WITH A MINIMUM OF SEVEN () STORIES.
