Work includes, but is not limited to, removing existing lap siding and trim down to the original panel siding or sheathing, installing rigid board insulation, installing new vinyl lap siding and trim, and replacing exterior doors as necessary on 227 Geiger Heights housing units. The estimated value of the work is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 dollars. Government furnished materials are not included. The work area is not located in a controlled or restricted area, however, it should be noted that it is in a family housing area that is residence to many children. The contract performance period shall be 30 0 calendar days and the Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) is 1521. The solicitation is scheduled for issuance on or about 19 April 1996. All interested parties that are bonded, insured and capable of performing the required work are encouraged to inquire about this solicitation. This acquisition is being contemplated for a 10% Small Disadvantaged Business Preference, however, this does not restrict other business concerns from bidding on this project.
