The United States Air Force (USAF) intends to procure two (2) PC based Pulse Code Modulation (PCM) Decommutators. The USAF intends to award a contract to Berg Systems International for these PC based Pulse Code Modulation (PCM) Decommutators unless a responsible source replying to this Sources Sought Synopsis can provide equivalent PCM Decommutators. The system will include B Bit Synchronizer, 4417-P16 Digital to Analog Converter 16 channels 12bit resolution specify T/MATE for T/MATE 2 compatible, IRIG Time Code Reader, and 4422-DA (AT bus) 10 bps 4K x 18 memory. SIC Code is 3679. Size standard is 500 employees. Desired delivery is 60 days after receipt of order. The procedure to be used in awarding this contract is written quotation and the anticipated award date is 17 May 96. All offerors interested in receiving a RFQ must FAX in their request by 18 Apr 96, FAX # 805-258-9615. All responsible sources who can provide equivalent products shall submit written responses which shall include: (1) price(s), FOB destination, (2) a description of the design and construction in sufficient detail to show compatibility and permit a technical evaluation, (3) a Point of Contact (POC) (name and telephone number), (4) GSA Contract Number, if applicable, (5) delivery date, (6) business size, and (7) payment terms. All questions must be submitted in writing. Responses must be received within 15 calendar days after the date of publication of this notice. No contract award will be made on the basis of any responses to this notice since the synopsis of intent to order is not considered a solicitation document.
