This is a market survey to locate sources for a Far Infrared (8-12
Micron) Spectral Imaging System capable of multispectral performance.
The optical system should include a filter wheel which is synchronous
with focal plane array timing to enable sampling at 6 or more spectral
subbands. Specifications include the following: Infrared Focal Plane
Array (IRFPA) and Dewar - 128x128 mercury - cadmium - telluride
(HgCdTe) array with 8-12 Micron Sensitivity, Operability 98%,
closed-cycle Dewar Cooler capable of 60 degree Kelvin operation;
Electronics - 14 bit A/D, real time storage, snapshot mode operation,
frame rate adjustable to 300 Hz, upgradeable to 256x256 format;
software compatible with Micro Soft Windows, image display on VGA or RS
170 monitors, real time storage and image sequence processing. This
item is to be a Commercial - off - the - Shelf (COTS)/Non-Developmental
Item (NDI) or COTS/NDI with minor modifications. This is not a Request
For Proposal (RFP). Contractors capable of furnishing this item must
submit technical information, in writing, no later than April 16, 1996
