70 -- MAINTENANCE OF SCITEX RESPONSE 280 SYSTEM SOL 52-DDNC-6-90085 POC Bert Szymanski (301) 713-0839 The U.S. Department of Commerce/NOAA intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Scitex America Corporation of Bedford, Ma, for the maintenance of the following Response 280 items: One (1) ELP Scanner Model 551, S/N 1199; one (1) Scitex 280 Console with 2649B CRT and color display; one (1) HP 1000 Computer Model 2113E, S/N 2315 A02379; one (1) HP 1000 Computer Model 2113E, S/N 2315 A0249; one (1) HP disk unit model 7925D, S/N 233A00207; one (1) HP disk unit model 7925B, S/N 2334A21574; one (1) HP B/W CRT model 2649B, S/N 2019A05072; one (1) HP printer model 2631B. S/N 2235A31338; one (1) Mag Tape Unit model 7970 B/E; one (1) Scitex Display Multiplexer; one (1) Scitex Display Unit, S/N 1001; one (1) Scitex Magnetic Tape Multiplexer; one (1) Scitex Film Punch, S/N 118 including cabinets, cables, etc. The contract period will be for twelve (12) months commencing on July 1, 1996 through June 30, 1997. Interested parties shall submit a written request no later than May 10, 1996. Interested parties shall submit a written statement to permit evaluation of capability to provide the required services. Interested parties must demonstrate the ability to provide spare parts, knowledge of the system interface, software operation, and system design. Software maintenance and upgrades are required. Failure to submit documentation will result in the Government proceeding as above. See Note 22. (0094)
