The Bureau of Land Management requires the continuation of a long-term regional silviculture management cooperative project in the Pacific Northwest, projected five-year plan maintains the overall objective of providing a source of high-quality data on the growth, yield and wood quality of intensively-managed Douglas-fir and western hemlock tree plantations. The proposed activities are: Further plot installation; crown studies; re-measurement and treatment of existing permanent plots and collaborative studies on wood quality, nutrition and modeling projects. This is not a formal solicitation. However, concerns who respond should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities and may request a copy of the solicitation when it becomes available.
