Fax 509/943-8555. The Yakama Indian Nation (Yakama Nation)
Environmental Restoration/Waste Management Program (ER/WM) at the U. S.
Department of Energy (DOE) Nuclear Reservation (``Hanford or Project'')
in on its HOLISTIC ENGINEERING WORK PROGRAM for an indefinite period of
time. Funding (up to $300,000) for the work is available through a
contract with the DOE. A Request for Proposal (RFP) has been prepared
and will be sent to the first ten interested parties calling the Yakama
Nation contact, F. Robert Cook at 509/946-0101, Fax. 509/943-8555. The
address is Yakama Nation, ER/WM Program, Suite 110, 1933 Jadwin
Avenue, Richland, WA 99352. The closing date for receipt of RFP's is
April 19, 1996. The Mission of the ER/WM Program is to take all action
necessary to cause the conditions at Hanford to be corrected so as to
protect the present and future generations of the Yakama People from
detrimental effects on their health, safety, welfare, cultural identity
and the social/environmental ecosystems supporting this cultural
identity. The ER/WM Program strategy to accomplish its mission includes
the conducting or contracting for professional technical data
gathering, investigation, analysis and design work, including
preparation of system and sub system evaluation methodologies, and the
conceptualization of environmental management technologies. This work
constitutes a partial need for services in support of ER/WM
activities. Other technical support is already under contract with some
overlap of the scope of existing contracts recognized and intended.
Thus, coordination with other ER/WM contractors may be necessary from
time to time. The RFP requests that prospective contractors respond to
all or parts of the RFP depending upon their expertise and special
capabilities. Contractors whose capabilities are superior in any given
area may be selected to provide services in that area in addition to
the selection of a contractor whose skills are judged to be well
rounded and of high quality in a number of areas, but not superior in
the given area of interest. (089) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0066 19960404\R-0003.SOL)
