This synopsis corrects the previous synopsis published Thursday, 21 March 1996. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Washington Detachment, intends to negotiate a sole-source contract with the United States Navy Memorial Foundation (NMF) for support/coordination services for various Department of the Navy related ceremonies and functions held at the United States Navy Memorial circular plaza located at 701 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C. Examples of Navy related ceremonies and functions would include Retirement, Change-of-Command, Reenlistment, Wreathlaying, and U.S. Navy Band Concerts. The proposed contract will also include use of NMF indoor facilities for some of these Navy related ceremonies and functions. This will be a fixed priced, Indefinite Quantity contract for a base year plus four option years. The NMF is the only known source possessing the unique location and facilities, knowledge, experience, and expertise which can fulfill this requirement.
