Letterkenny Army Depot intends to solicit for the removal and Installation of Underground Storage Tanks, located in the Ammo Area, Savanna Army Depot, Savanna, Illinois 611111111111The work includes, but is not limited to, the removal of five tanks and the installation of two new underground storage tanks. Awardee shall submit a work plan and a Site Safety & Health Program, be required to work in ''contamination'' and ''clean'' areas and be in compliance with OSHA, Department of Transportation (DOT) Hazardous Material Laws in addition to all local and state of Illinois regulations. The contractor will solely be responsible for the removal of any contaminated soil from the installation. Project is to be completed within 120 days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The estimated issue date of the solicitation package is 13 May 96 with the site inspection date being announced in the solicitation package. All responsible sources may submit a bid. No telephone requests will be accepted. There is a $25.00 charge for this solicitation package and only money orders or cashier checks will be accepted. Any check collection vouchers submitted with any form of personal check (be it from a personal account or a business account) will be rejected. Payment should accompany the request and shall be made payable to the U.S. Department of Treasury. The magnitude of this project is estimated to cost between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. (0095)
