The Navy plans to issue a sole source solicitation to the GNB Industrial Battery Company, Lombard, IL, for the Guppy Mod C and Mod E Submarine battery cells and related supplies and data. GNB is the only qualified source for batteries meeting specification DoD-B-24541. The quantity required is ten (10) sets of Mod E; plus options for seven (7) additional sets of Mod E; and an option for two (2) set of Mod C. Delivery is required to commence nine months after award for the initial quantity, and nine months after the option is exercised for option quantities. This is a NOFORN procurement.
