443-6677 The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) is soliciting
proposals from qualified organizations having the capability to perform
automated (robotic) high capacity screening of in vitro dopamine
transporter binding and uptake inhibition assays. Proprietary test
compounds will be evaluated in established assays, and the resulting
data will be utilized by the Cocaine Treatment Discovery Program of the
NIDA Medications Development Division. Offerors must indicate
possession of current DEA registration for Schedule II-V substances and
have applied for Schedule I registration prior to award. It is
estimated that a 2 year contract, with additional quantity options,
will result from this procurement. Estimated issuance date of RFP No.
N01DA-6-8070 is April 30, 1996, and responses are due to be received in
the Contracting Office 45 calendar days thereafter. Written requests
for copies of the solicitation will be honored if received within
thirty calendar days after issuance of the solicitation. Written
requests received after this period will be filled on a first-come,
first-served basis until the the supply is exhausted; however, there is
no assurance that copies requested after the thirtieth day will reach
the requestor before the due date for receipt of responses. Written
