on behalf of the US Architectural and Transportation Barrier Compliance
Board is seeking proposals to provide a study to catalog technologies
available for providing auditory cuing and making interactive
transaction machines accesible to and independently useable by persons
with disabilities, especially those with sensory impairments.
Furthermore, this project will examine the various means by which
access to such machines and information can be accomplished and assess
their appropriateness, degree of consistency with the American with
Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines and vehicle guidelines, ease
of use and implementation, and effect on design and new technology.
The period of performance is for nine (9) months. Anticipated release
date is April 19, 1996 and closing date is May 23, 1996. Requests for
