DACW41-96-B-0055, NOT DACA41-96-B-0055. The work includes furnishing
all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision
necessary to take over the ongoing Operation and Maintenance of the
on-site groundwater extraction, treatment, and reinjection system in
accordance with the specifications for one year. The system includes
groundwater recovery, oil/water separation, equalization, pH
adjustment, coagulation/flocculation, clarification, filtration, air
stripping, carbon adsorption, and effluent reinjection. This is a firm
fixed price contract with options for continued operation for four
additional years. Bidders must submit the following information and
documents with his/her bid to assist the Contracting Officer in
determining the responsibility of the bidder. (a) All bidders shall
have been in the business of operating and maintaining a similar type
groundwater pump and treatment system for a minimum of two years prior
to the date of advertisement of this contract in the Commerce Business
Daily. All bidders shall submit a list of at least 2 separate sites
where they have successfully managed the operation of a groundwater
pump and treat system. For each of the sites, the list shall include:
location of the site; initial date of operation; the period of
operation; a brief description of the system; and names and phone
numbers of site owners or owner's representative. (b) The name and
certification of qualifications of the Site Supervisor/Chief Operator
and the Site Safety Officer/Certified Industrial Hygienist the bidder
is proposing to use on the project. (c) The name, qualifications, and
letter of commitment from the chemical laboratory facility to be used.
Solicitations will be issued on or about April 25, 1996. The bid
opening date will be on or about May 28, 1996. Cost of specifications:
$50.00 per set (NON-REFUNDABLE). SPECIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE ISSUED
UNTIL PAYMENT IS RECEIVED IN THIS OFFICE. Estimated cost of the
proposed procurement: Over $1,000,000.00. SIC code is 8744. Approximate
time of completion: One year plus 4 - one year options. Request for
