Klapal (201)724-3274. The U.S. Army ARDEC intends to procure 260,248 M230 Propelling Charges for the 120mm Battalion Mortar System. This requirement will include four options. The option quantities are estimated at 860,000 units maximum for 1997, 860,000 units maximum for 1998, 880,000 units maximum for 1999, and 860,000 units maximum for 2000. The Government will provide the M45 propellant, increment containers, and closures. The Government will be responsible for conducting ballistic testing. The contractor will be required to sign a nondisclosure agreement before it can be provided with a copy of this solicitation. Funds are not presently available for this acquisition. No contract award will be made until appropriated funds are made available from which payment can be made. This procurement is restricted to companies manufacturing in the United States.
