necessary travel, labor and materials to furnish the equipment listed
herein and provide the installation of all the equipment listed herein,
with all the necessary miscellaneous materials which may be required,
for a complete turn-key operational system. The Government is accepting
brand name or equal on the following: Manufacturer, COMWEB, p/n
MCC391VKM and MCC-RS232 main system controller with control panel and
programmable interface and cables, quantity 3 each. Manufacturer,
COMWEB, p/n MCC191VKM, student expansion box, quantity 36 each.
Manufacturer, COMWEB, p/n MCC-CABLE standard cable set, quantity 36
each. Manufacturer, COMWEB, p/n MCC-KEYBOARD, remote keyboard control,
quantity 36 each. Manufacturer, COMWEB, p/n MCC-MOUSE, remote mouse
and cables, quantity 36 each. Manufacturer, COMWEB, p/n MCC-VIDEO, NTSC
to VGA converter, quantity 3 each. Manufacturer, CANON, p/n VIZCAM
1000, quantity 3 each. Manufacturer, BOECKLER, p/n PVI-72L, light pen,
quantity 3 each. Manufacturer, ROCKTEC, p/n RN1812S, remote
audio/visual box for multiple inputs and outputs, quantity 3 each.
Manufacturer, TRIPPLITE, p/n ISOBAR 6, surge protector, quantity 3
each. Manufacturer, RCA, no part number, audio and video connection
cables must have standard male to male; RCA stereo cable connectors
must be able to connect NTSC devices together and must allow video
and/or audio inputs, quantity 9 each. Installation of the above systems
shall be in three (3) AEGIS classrooms, Bldg. 1520, in the Learning
Resource Center, and rooms 232 and 234. Each classroom shall be made up
of twelve (12) student consoles and one instructor console. Contractor
must be sure to include any miscellaneous materials such as cable
ties, screws, etc, that are necessary for the complete installation, 1
lot. A site visit and walk thru to view the spaces/rooms where the
system shall be installed, shall be held on-site at NSWC/DD on 6 May
1996 at 10:00 am. At this time, questions from any of the potential
bidders will be addressed if necessary, and those bidders may take
measurements, look at setups, etc. Interested bidders are requested to
call in advance to R. Moss, Purchasing Agent, phone 540-653-8342/FAX
540-653-7016, to get directions and have their names put on the
attendance/bidders list. These requests must be received no later than
3 May 1996, at noon. A phone call or fax will be acceptable. Requests
for the quotation may also be directed to R. Moss at the number above.
Attendance at the walk thru/site visit is not mandatory, however, FAR
52.237-1 applies. Potential bidders need to request copies of
N00178-96-Q-0007. This shall be a complete system. Award will be made
on an all or none basis. Simplified Acquisition Procedures shall be
used in this procurement. The contract resulting from this synopsis
shall be firm fixed price. Quotes shall be due on or before 17 May
1996/close of business. Priority mail and faxes will be accepted.
Vendors are encouraged to supply sufficient information along with
their quotation for technical review and approval. Any questions can be
