The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue a contract modification to add four (4) FY 97 Options for the AN/STC-2(V) Integrated Voice Communication System (IVCS) for the ARLIEGH BURKE DDG 51 CLASS AEGIS DESTROYERS to existing contract N00024-95-C-4079 with Lockheed Martin Communications Systems, 1 Federal St, Camden, NJ 08102. The AN/STC-2(V) IVCS is a processor controlled militarized voice communications system that is capable of providing reliable, survivable interior voice communication service in Navy combatant ships. Only one (1) of the four (4) Options will be exercised in FY 97 for up to four (4) IVCS systems to be delivered from January 1999 through October 1999. Lockheed Martin Communications Systems is the only firm that currently possesses the requisite knowledge and experience to provide the needed effort within the required timeframe. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the Naval Sea Systems Command.
