The Library of Congress intends to negotiate with Project Management Enterprises, Inc., Bethesda, MD, to establish a new LEXICO/2 search application. This application is composed of the Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH) which will interface with the bibliographic files being converted to the Inquery software. Major tasks are as follows: establishing a new LEXICO/2 application environment; the extraction and mapping of LCSH data; the loading of LCSH data into LEXICO; establishment of LCSH of World-Wide-Web on the INTERNET. This software is proprietary software and is not in the public domain. If other firms have the capabilities which meet the needs described above, detailed information regarding that expertise must be provided to the Contract Specialist no later than 45 days from date of this notice.
