1996 GLOBAL DEMILITARIZATION SYMPOSIUM & EXHIBITION, MAY 13-17, 1996, RENO, NEVADA The Joint Ordnance Commanders Group requested the organization of a seminar to assure linkage among the numerous efforts directed at challenges related to the demilitarization and disposal of energetic materials. The scope of this effort is to broadband with participation by government, academia and United States and international industry representatives. Demilitarization/environmental issues are a concern affecting all ammunition programs. The Keynote Address will be given by MG James W. Monroe, CG, US Army Industrial Operations Command. The speakers will include: Mr. George Kopcsak, Office of Secretary of Defense, BG Joseph W. Arbuckle, Deputy Chief of Staff for Ammunition, US Army Materiel command. Peter Courtney-Green, NATO Maintenance and supply Agency, and Mr. Dale F. Kinney, President, Government Systems Group, Day & Zimmemann, Inc. A tour of the Western Area Demilitarization Facility is tentatively scheduled for May 17.
