16 -- ENGINEERING SERVICES/MATERIALS REQUIRED TO INTEGRATE THE LANTIRN FLIR POC Contact, Jeff Brown, Phone (703)604-6100 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to contract with Lockheed Martin Corporation (LMC) for engineering services and material to integrate the LANTIRN FLIR/LD Pod on the F-14 Aircraft. this effort includes procurement and modification of the LANTIRN FLIR/LD Pod to meet specific F-14 integration requirements. The LANTIRN FLIR/LD Pod, manufactured by LMC, is the only system that will meet the critical system performance parameters and the required operational capability dates for a non-developmental item (NDI) FLIR/LD system as set forth in the F-14 Precision Strike Operational Requirements Document (ORD). LMC, as the designer, developer and producer of the LANTIRN, is the only firm that possesses the technical expertise, engineering data and detailed knowledge of the LANTIRN required to manufacture, modify and integrate the LANTIRN on the F-14 aircraft.
