SSA is seeking sources to provide a comprehensive engineering,
installation and maintenance services contract at SSA's consolidated
processing facilities at the Mid-America Program Service Center
(MAMPSC) located in Kansas City, MO, and the Great Lakes Program
Service Center (GLPSC) located at the Harold Washington Social Security
Center (HWSSC) in Chicago, IL. The MAMPSC has fifteen (15) Fujitsu
model F9600VS digital telecommunications systems and peripheral
telecommunications related equipment connected to fifteen (15)
Centigram Communications VoiceMemo II Model 100 voice mail & automated
attendant systems. The GLPSC has ten (10) Fujitsu model F9600VS
digital telecommunications systems and peripheral telecommunications
related equipment connected to ten (10) Centigram Communications
VoiceMemo II Model 100 voice mail & automated attendant systems. The
multiple system arrangements are distributed throughout each PSC
facility and currently provide service to approximately 1500 users at
each location with growth capacity to 2000+ users. SSA requires the
design, engineering, installion, testing, phased cutover and
maintenance of all hardware, software and firmware that is required to
consolidate the multiple Fujitsu F9600VS telecommunications at each
PSC into one large Fujitsu F9600 series telecommunications system for
each location that has the capacity to provide the quantities required
at cutover and projected station and line growth requirements over the
life of the contract. The contract must permit the retention of SSA's
capital investment in station and trunk circuit cards and digital
telephone apparatus at each PSC location. The contract will require the
design, engineering, installation, testing, phased cutover and
maintenance of all hardware, software and firmware that is required to
either consolidate or to reuse the multiple Centigram Voice Memo II
Model 100 voice processing systems at each PSC location that has the
capacity to provide the quantities required at cutover and future
mailbox and access traffic growth requirements over the life of the
contract. The contractor will be required to provide a full time (8
hours per day - 40 hours per week) on-site (resident) Customer Support
Engineer (CSE) at each PSC location, skilled in project management,
telecommunication industry standards and practices and who has been
technically certified by the respective equipment manufacturers to
perform engineering, installation and maintenance services on all
equipment cited in this publication and in accordance with SSA
specifications. In addition, the contract will include ongoing
engineering, equipment, labor, wiring, installation, maintenance with
on-site spare parts, documentation and training for all required system
and station hardware/software/firmware growth at each PSC location over
the term of the contract. The initial fixed price contract will be a
competitive acquisition for one year with options for an additional six
years. Organizations are invited to submit complete information on
geographic area service coverage, competency of technical personnel,
project management capabilities, Fujitsu F9600 technical training and
certification programs, Fujitsu F9600 experience, customer references
and any relative descriptive literature in discussing such
capabilities. The responses must clearly state the ability to provide
the equipment and services as described. No cost or pricing data is
required or requested. This is not a request for proposal and the
Government does not intend to pay for the information solicited or
received. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the
internal Government evaluation of the source data received. Any
interested organization must submit appropriate data in duplicate
