Proposed requirements contract for Fiber Optic Cable with one basic year and two one-year options. Multi-mode and single-mode F/O Cable with Fiber counts ranging from 12 to 48 fibers, Armored and Non Armored, will be included. Quantities, and technical requirements IAW purchase description, to be provided with the solicitation. Delivery will be to various sites across the continental United States. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered. Foreign participation is permitted. Sources responding to this synopsis must indicate, in writing, whether they are a large or small, disadvantaged or women-owned business and whether U.S. or foreign owned/controlled (must state which country). The SIC code is 3357. For this synopsis, a concern will be considered small if its number of employees does not exceed 1000. No telephone requests will be accepted. Only companies who provide all the required information will be provided a copy of the solicitation. Only written requests received directly from the requester will be accepted. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern.
