USARSPACE requires a software interface between the Contingency Satellite Configuration Control Element (CSCCE) and the Lockheed Martin developed Generic Telemetry Simulator (GTS) system in order to meet training and mission requirements for satellite platform and payload controllers. The GTS was originally developed by Lockheed Martin and consists of highly specialized software that dynamically simulates the Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS) III systems and their interaction with the physical environment while interfacing a telemetry stream with the Command and Control Segment of the Mission Control Complexes.
