Specialist (719) 567-2316. The 50th Space Wing is seeking qualified
contractors to provide services required for satellite operations,
operations support, maintenance and training for the 50th Space Wing
and other users of the Air Force Satellite Control Network (AFSCN)
under the cognizance of Air Force Space Command. The purpose of this
announcement is to determine potential sources who can provide:
superior ground and space systems operations worldwide through the
AFSCN in support of the Department of Defense (DoD), the National
Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the North Atlantic Treaty
Organization (NATO), the United Kingdom and other government agencies.
The contract support will occur, principally, but not solely, at
Onizuka Air Station, California, Falcon Air Force Base, Colorado, and
Camp Parks Communications Annex, Pleasanton, California. The
operational space support includes mission planning, real time command
and control, orbit management, training, analysis, testing, rehearsal
evaluation and other aspects of space systems command and control for
geosynchronous and low earth orbit vehicles. This support is of vital
interest to the nation and requires continuous support. The support to
operations provided under this proposed contract includes: the
simulation development and sustainment; Level I software and database
maintenance support for the Milstar Mission Control Segment (MCS);
Level I software and organizational hardware support for the Command
and Control System (CCS) and the Space Weather terminals; and Level I
and II database development and maintenance. This synopsis is for
planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the
Government. Sources capable of providing the above support should

the above areas. All submission should be in writing (5 page maximum)
- in an executive summary format and post marked not later than (15)
