Meyer/Rakbs/513-255-2761 Item 0001 NSN 1234-5 - - THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT BY ASC/RAKBS, WRIGHT-PATTERSON AFB OH TO CONTRACT ON A SOLE SOURCE BASIS WITH NEW WORLD POWER TECHNOLOGY, WAITSFIELD, VT, FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE SOLAR/THERMAL/WIND HYBRID POWER SYSTEM SUPPORTED BY LIQUEFIED PROPANE GAS FOR REMOTE, UNATTENDED OPERATIONS IN ANTARCTICA WITH AN OPTION FOR PURCHASE OF A SECOND HYBRID POWER SYSTEM. THE AIR FORCE TECHNICAL APPLICATIONS CENTER (AFTAC) REQUIRES DELIVERY OF THE INITIAL POWER SYSTEM BY 31 AUG 96. AN OMBUDSMAN HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED FOR THIS ACQUISITION. THE ONLY PURPOSE OF THE OMBUDSMAN IS TO RECEIVE AND COMMUNICATE SERIOUS CONCERNS FROM POTENTIAL OFFERORS WHEN AN OFFEROR PREFERS NOT TO USE ESTABLISHED CHANNELS TO COMMUNICATE HIS/HER CONCERN DURING THE PROPOSAL DEVELOPMENT PHASE OF THIS ACQUISITION. POT- ENTIAL OFFERORS SHOULD USE ESTABLISHED CHANNELS TO REQUEST INFORMATION, POSE QUESTIONS, AND VOICE CONCERNS BEFORE RESORTING TO USE OF THE OMBUDSMAN.
