66 -- MICROANALYZER, ELECTRON PROBE SOL N00164-96-R-0071 DUE 060496 POC Contact - Terry Davis, 812-854-3704, telefax 812-854-3465 or Mr. Don Davis, Contracting Officer The Navy requires one each Electron Probe Microanalyzer which shall be manufactured in accordance with NAVSURFWARCENDIV performance specifications. This equipment will be used for X-ray characterization of materials, both qualitative and up to 40 element quantitative analysis. The system shall consist of the following subsystems: Electron Column and Electron Optics, Electron Beam, X-ray Wavelength Dispersive Spectrometers (WDS), Vacuum System, Instrument Control Electronics, and Energy Dispersive Spectrometer. This effort will also contain an option for additional maintenance (software and hardware) for five (5) years beyond the expiration of the warranty. The successful contractor shall also provide one week of on-site operator training for two NSWC personnel. The Government will make available for trade-in allowance an existing Cameca Camebax system less cathodoluminescence spectrometer. This equipment will be available for inspection during normal business hours at NSWC Crane, Building 2087. Any interested party must contact the POC listed above to arrange for an on-site inspection visit. This item is being procured utilizing FAR Part 12--Acquisition of Commercial Items procedures. Delivery is required F.O.B. destination to NAVSURFWARCENDIV Crane within 120 days after effective date of the contract. This effort is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. See Note #1.
