The purchase description details the requirements for a Digital Force Indicator, (DFI) which will be used as an Air Force Standard in the Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory's (PMEL's) with load cells to support force calibrations. The Digital Force Indicator is a precision transducer readout instrument capable of producing a very accurate measurement of the transducer signal in mV/V. The indicator will provide the capability for high accuracy force measurements with multiple sizes of load cells as a portable force calibration kit. The DFI will have the capability of displaying mV/V, LBF or Newton units of measurement. It will be used with load cells; compression sizes, 20,000 lbf, 50,000 lbf, 60,000 lbf and 100,000 lbf. A 2,000 lbf load cell is used in both compression and tension. Issue date will be approximately 8 May 96. Closing date will be approximately 5 June 96. FOB destination.
