Sishc (505) 342-3457 (Site Code DACA47) The project consists of: (1) removal of 21 existing oil water separators (OWSs) currently draining into the storm drainage system. This includes testing of sludge in the tanks as well as preparation, transport, and delivery of any hazardous waste materials to Mt. Home AFB environmental group. Several of the OWSs are in hangars. (2) Cleanup of an abandonded coal pile storage lot by removing remaining coal, importing fill dirt from another area on base, applying a soil conditioner, and revegetating. (3) Installation of three mechanical OWSs. (4) Construction of a small evaporation basin at a truck fueling site. (5) Rehabilitation of a small dam and installation of new pumps; and (6) adondoning in place and backfilling an existing roadway culvert under the base's perimeter road. Plans will be issued on or about May 7, 1996 with bid opening on or about June 6, 1996. The construction period is 220 days. The cost of plans and specifications is $40.00 per set.
