The Naval Research Laboratory has a requirement for a high vacuum pump and thermal shroud upgrade for a large (18' diameter x 30' long) vacuum chamber, 1 each. The high vacuum pump replacement system must have multiple cryogenic pumps and must meet or exceed the net pumping speed of the present system and be capable of vacuums greater than 1 x 10-7 torr. The thermal conditioning system must be a self contained recirculating forced convection heating and cooling system with a temperature range of -180C to +150C and must include a blower for the circulation of gaseous nitrogen. The requirement includes the following areas: design, fabrication, installation (including all service connections), and acceptance tests on each system. The high vacuum pump upgrade must be performed on site at the Naval Research Laboratory. The required delivery of all items is 150 days after contract award date.
