Maryland 21045-0701 R -- INDEFINITE QUANTITY CONTRACTS FOR REAL ESTATE SERVICES IN EACH OF
THE STATES OF OHIO, PENNSYLVANIA, DELAWARE, MARYLAND, METROPOLITAN
WASHINGTON, DC, AND NEW JERSEY SOL RFR #232098-96-A-0181 DUE 051096.
Contact: Terry Metzner (410) 997-6219. The Contractor shall furnish
professional real estate services to the Postal Service, as may be
required from time to time, specified in written orders (hereinafter
called ``Work Orders''), issued by the Postal Service, pursuant to the
``Ordering'' clause of this contract. The work to be ordered shall be
as set forth under Section 3 herein entitled ``Work to be Performed''.
The Contractor shall make available the necessary personnel,
facilities, and materials to perform the required services through its
own employees (including joint venture employees) or through the
employees of subcontractors, and to provide the Postal Service with
accurate information, cogent reports, and clear cut options. All work
shall conform to applicable Postal Service standards based on the work
to be performed. The services to be provided under this contract shall
include but not be limited to: 1) real property appraisals; 2)
feasibility studies; 3) site planning (evaluation) reports; 4) disposal
of excess real property; 5) real property tax reviews and/or appeals;
6) relocation services; 7) lease renewal; 8) leasing alternate
quarters; 9) leasing built-to-suite quarters; 10) outleasing and
subleasing; and 11) site acquisitions. Firms may respond with requests
to be considered for a specific area(s) (state). At the discretion of
the Contracting Officer, multiple contracts may be awarded. The United
States Postal Service reserves the right to limit successful bidders to
any or all of the states listed. The contract, with a guaranteed
minimum of $5,000.00 will be for two years, with options for three
one-year renewals. Each task order will be negotiated as an individual
project and task orders may not exceed $50,000. The total contract
cannot exceed $200,000.00 for each 12-month contract period. The
contract may be renewed for three one-year periods providing that the
total contract amount does not exceed $1,000,000.00. Firms that have
the qualifications to perform the services described previously are
invited to submit a resume that states previous experience in
performing the above work and any prior postal experience by May 10,
1996, at 4:00 PM. All submittals will be reviewed and the most
qualified firms will be interviewed. Interested firms with more than
one office must indicate on their resume the staffing composition of
the office or offices in which the work will be performed.
Consideration will be given to firms responding to this advertisement
in accordance with instruction in the following order of preference: 1.
Real Estate Experience; 2. Real Estate Experience in the defined
geographical area; and 3. Knowledge and Experience with Postal Real
Estate policies and procedures. There is no restriction on the
geographical location of consultants. Submissions will not be retained.
